DID YOU KNOW THAT (Laptops)

Friends, the use of the laptop is commonplace in the market as there are families with more than one unit at home.
At enterprise level, is a device that has been gaining the traditional desktop space.

Is it usual, when we end up working on the laptop, at office or home, to turn it off in the software but keep it connected in the power switch? Is it usual to leave the laptop with the screen saver active, because it has an Energy Saver system, and thinking that, in this situation, it has a very low power consumption?

Well, there are some explanations to do!

A laptop, even off, suspended or in hibernation may be consuming approximately 4W per hour. In the case of letting the screen saver active (happens a lot in business because when we arrive in the morning it's ready to work), then the energy consume can become considerable.

Depending on the theme that the screen saver is running (from the black screen, screen to be scanned by the symbol of the windows or many others) the consumer can go from 20W to 40W hour (also depends on the energy settings that are being implemented on laptop)!
Yeah, leaving the laptop screen saver causes an higher waste of energy.

Tip: when possible, disconnect the laptop from power supply. The only way to reduce to zero the wasteful consumption!
