DID YOU KNOW THAT (LCD TV and Monitor)

  Friends, did you know that an LCD TV 32 "(inches), even offline, you may be consuming 10W?

And what an LCD 19 " that we may be connected to the desktop to consume 6W even turned off?

Well, even off, the monitors and LCD TVs may be consuming these amounts of energy!

Let's make some calculations? Then we have, for every hour-day stand-by, the following monthly costs:

- LCD TV 32 "(10W) - (10/1000) * 30 days * € XXX kW (XXX kWh put your energy cost of your supplier) * € 1.XX (put the VAT in your country);

- LCD TV 19 "(6W) - (6/1000) * 30 days * € XXX kW (XXX kWh put your energy cost of your supplier) * € 1.XX (put the VAT in your country).

  Now that you have the monthly costs, multiplied by the average number of hours that the unit is turned off and the number of devices you have at home and come easily to a few euros or dollars!

These values can be extrapolated to LCD TVs and monitors with different sizes, though not miss much if you use the above.

Moreover, from brand to brand, the consumption values can vary, although these will not differ greatly.

  The values were obtained in tests with monitors and TVs from consumer brands that are sales leaders. So, we could ever say they represent the vast majority of LCD TVs and monitors existing in our homes.

I leave these thoughts: And at commercial level, where there are many PCs and TVs connected? How much money can they save? We may be talking about tens of euros or dollars per month!!

For domestic customers, i leave this unit where the equipment off and lead to zero consumption.

  Rgds
